Running along the the largest harbor in the southern hemisphere, 23 giant sculptures dot the landscape. Owner Alan Gibbs of Gibbs Farm in Kaipara, New Zealand has commissioned world renowned artists to create works that manage the scale and challenge of the landscape. One of my favorites is a line drawing of a paper sheet made out of metal by Artist Neil Dawson. Using the art of illusion, I love how the sculpture is juxtaposed against the hillside among the Longhorns, just waiting to see where the wind blows it next. Check out the sculpture park and Neil Dawson’s work below and next time you are in New Zealand, wander around Gibbs Farm.
